概要
この文法は何か
There is/are は「～がある」「～がいる」という意味で、何かの存在や所在を表現するときに使います。単数名詞には there is、複数名詞には there are を使います。
いつ使うか
場所や状況に何かが存在することを述べるとき、初めて話題に出すものを紹介するときに使います。
作り方
There + is/are + 名詞 + (場所)

注意: "not any" と "no" は同じ意味ですが、"no" の方が一般的です。

- 💡単数か複数かによって is か are を選びます。名詞をよく見て判断しましょう
- 💡"There" は形式的な主語で、実際の主語は後ろの名詞です
- 💡否定文では "not any" より "no" の方が自然で一般的です
- 💡疑問文の答えは "Yes, there is/are." または "No, there isn't/aren't." となります
文化的注意点
"There you go" は「はい、どうぞ」という意味のカジュアルな表現で、there is/are とは異なります。
