Last Sunday, I visited my grandmother's house. She lives in a small town about one hour away from my house. When I arrived, she asked me if I wanted to learn how to make curry. I was excited because I love curry and wanted to learn how to cook it.
First, Grandma taught me how to cut vegetables like onions, carrots, and potatoes. Cutting onions made my eyes water, but Grandma showed me a trick to prevent that. Then we cooked the meat and vegetables in a big pot. Grandma explained that cooking slowly makes the curry taste better. The kitchen smelled wonderful!
Finally, we added curry roux and let it simmer. While we waited, Grandma told me stories about when she was young. When the curry was ready, we ate it together with rice. It was delicious! Grandma said I did a good job. Now I can cook curry for my family.
