この文法は何か
固有名詞（人名、地名、組織名など）と冠詞の使い方について学びます。固有名詞は基本的に無冠詞ですが、特定のケースでは "the" を使う必要があります。
いつ使うか
人名、国名、都市名、川、山、海、組織名などの固有名詞を使うとき、正しい冠詞の有無を判断するために使います。
作り方
固有名詞の種類によって冠詞の使用ルールが異なります。一般的なルールを理解し、例外も覚える必要があります。

学習のコツ
- 💡地理的固有名詞は3つのグループに分けて覚えよう：1) 無冠詞（人名、都市、単独の山）、2) "the"が必要（複数形の国、川、海、山脈）、3) 例外
- 💡「the」が付く固有名詞は「of」や複数形が含まれることが多い（例：the United States, the Tower of London）
- 💡方角（North, South, East, West）が付く地域名にはほぼ必ず "the" を使う
- 💡ホテル・劇場・美術館は "the" を使うが、会社名・大学名は使わない傾向がある
- 💡例外も多いので、よく使う固有名詞は個別に覚える必要がある
文化的注意点
アメリカでは "United States" と言うとき、通常 "the" を付けて "the United States" または略して "the US" と言います。
イギリスでは "UK" と略すとき、"the UK" と "the" を付けるのが一般的です（"the United Kingdom" の略）。
新聞名は伝統的に "the" を付けることが多いですが、最近のオンラインメディアでは省略されることもあります。
