概要
この文法は何か
WillとWouldは、意志、予測、習慣、依頼など様々な意味を持つ助動詞です。Willは未来のことや強い意志を、Wouldは丁寧な表現や過去の習慣を表します。
いつ使うか
未来の予測、意志や決意を述べるとき、依頼や申し出をするとき、過去の習慣を述べるとき、仮定や想像を表すときに使います。
作り方
Will: 主語 + will + 動詞の原形 / Would: 主語 + would + 動詞の原形
重要ポイント
- 1Willは未来の予測や意志を表す
- 2Wouldは丁寧な依頼や過去の習慣を表す
- 3Wouldは仮定法でも使われる（If I were you, I would...）
- 4否定形はwon't（will not）とwouldn't（would not）

否定形
パターン
will not / would not + 動詞の原形
I won't be late.

注意: Won'tは意志の否定（～しない）、wouldn'tは丁寧な拒否や過去の否定を表します。

学習のコツ
- 💡WillとWouldの使い分け：Willは直接的、Wouldは丁寧で控えめな表現です。
- 💡過去の習慣を表す場合、wouldとused toの違いに注意：wouldは意識的な動作、used toは状態にも使えます。
- 💡短縮形（'ll, 'd）は会話で非常によく使われます。
- 💡Will you...?とWould you...?の違い：Wouldの方がより丁寧です。
- 💡I'd（I would）とI'd（I had）を文脈で区別する必要があります。
